The guaranteed minimum value (GMV) interest rate will be reduced from 2.50% to 2.25% in all states except DE, IA, NJ, and TX. We will notify you once these remaining states approve the GMV interest rate change.

• The premium bonus will change from 10% to 8%

Due to the ongoing current low interest rate environment, American National cannot continue to support the 2% floor in Index states. Therefore, effective October 1, 2010, the Minimum Guaranteed Index Rate in NAIC Index states will be 1%.

Effective July 1, 2010, you may begin submitting cases as follows for issue ages 0-75 and nonrated cases through Table 6:

• Single life - $5 million
• Survivorship - $7.5 million
• Auto bind - $50 million

The optional GMWB rider will have a change in pricing. Starting May 12th the charges for the income rider will increase. The commission for 3 products will also be reduced.
